WELCOME
La Vieille Cheminée is a small working farm with nine private eco lodges.
We are located in Chamarel, Mauritius.
The farm produces tropical vegetables, fruits and compost from sustainable agriculture. We also hosts a few friendly horses and many other animals.
We invite our guests to discover the farm, enjoy walks or horse rides, while staying in one of our cozy and well-equipped eco-lodges.

Bed &
Breakfast
We prepare breakfast on the farm and bring it to each lodge in the morning. Order with 24h notice. Breakfast offered when booking directly on our website.
Daily Housekeeping
Our Housekeeping team will service your lodge daily. Between 9.00 and noon, at your convenience.
Fireplace & Barbecue
Each lodge has its own fireplace and barbecue. We provide wood and charcoal upon arrival.

Garden
Each lodge has its own private garden and parking space.
Meals from
the farm
You can pre-order meals prepared in our kitchen daily, using products of the farm. Order with 24h notice.

We have friendly horses on our farm. Kids can enjoy handheld guided rides in the tropical forests within the farm.
We offer daily participative farm activities. You can also book a guided walking tour to explore our working tropical farm.
From 2 kms to 6 kms, the property has several trails marked with arrows so you can hike on your own!
At the highest point of the domain, you’ll find a plunge pool & kiosk. Breathtaking 360 view and stunning sunsets.
